Treatments
These are some of our favorite treatments to help to further enhance the body's contour, tighten the skin, and promote overall skin health. Additionally, aftercare procedures can aid in reducing swelling, improving circulation, and stimulating collagen production, resulting in smoother, more toned skin. The consistent implementation of aftercare treatments ensures that the desired results are maintained, providing individuals with a sculpted and aesthetically pleasing physique after cosmetic surgery.
It is generally recommended to wait for at least 6 weeks after surgery before scheduling any body contouring treatments. This waiting period allows for proper healing and recovery, ensuring the best possible results from the procedure. It is also important to consult with your doctor for personalized advice and clearance before undergoing any treatments.

HYPERBARIC OXYGEN THERAPY EXPLAINED
Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy also known as HBOT is a pressurized chamber that involves breathing pure oxygen at a pressured level. This supports your body with healing and recovery through increased oxygen absorption.
HBOT Is Known To:
Increase blood flow
Decrease inflammation and swelling
Weakening infection-causing bacteria
Increasing the body's ability to fight free radicals
Stimulating the growth of new blood vessels
Optimize sleep
Boost energy and healing
Does Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy hurt?
No. At the beginning of the session, as your sinuses adjust to the increase in pressure, you may experience a “popping” sensation similar to what you likely have experienced on an airplane. Your Surgery Bestie™️ staff will coach you through a couple different ear popping techniques, and if it remains uncomfortable, staff will lower the pressure until it is comfortable.
Is Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy safe?
Yes. A tech will be monitoring your dive the entire session. At the beginning of the session they will monitor how you are doing until the hyperbaric chamber has reached its maximum pressure. You will have a window between you with which you’ll be able to communicate and you will receive regular updates.
What do I wear to my Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy appointment?
Something comfortable that is loose-fitting and cozy. We do ask, though, that you refrain from wearing scented perfumes and lotions or heavy jewelry.
What do I do in the Hyperbaric Chamber?
Rest and relax! You can nap, listen to music, or meditate.. Bonus if you want to add on targeted light therapy during your session!
How many Hyperbaric Oxygen Therapy sessions do I need?
It depends. Oxygen therapy works cumulatively, the more often you dive in the chamber the better. We recommend a minimum of 5 sessions for general health and maintenance. For more serious conditions, we recommend coming 3-5 times per week. For more serious injuries and conditions, we would recommend coming a minimum of 5 days in a row to see maximum benefits.
How does Hyperbaric therapy help in Plastic surgery recovery?
Hyperbaric therapy, also known as hyperbaric oxygen therapy (HBOT), can be beneficial for plastic surgery patients in several ways. This therapy involves breathing pure oxygen in a pressurized chamber, which increases the amount of oxygen in the blood and tissues. Here are some ways hyperbaric therapy can help plastic surgery patients:
1. Enhanced wound healing: Hyperbaric therapy promotes the generation of new blood vessels and stimulates the production of collagen, which is essential for wound healing. It helps deliver oxygen to the tissues, reducing the risk of infection and improving the healing process after plastic surgery procedures.
2. Reduced swelling and inflammation: Plastic surgery procedures often result in swelling and inflammation. Hyperbaric therapy can help reduce these symptoms by improving blood flow and increasing the supply of oxygen to the affected area. This can speed up the recovery process and minimize discomfort for the patient.
3. Decreased risk of infection: Hyperbaric therapy creates an oxygen-rich environment that inhibits the growth of certain bacteria and promotes the body's natural defense mechanisms. By increasing tissue oxygenation, it helps reduce the risk of infection after plastic surgery procedures, which is crucial for optimal healing.
4. Improved graft and flap survival: In some plastic surgeries, grafts or flaps of tissue may be used to reconstruct or repair damaged areas. Hyperbaric therapy can enhance the survival of these grafts and flaps by improving blood flow and oxygenation to the transplanted tissue. This can increase the success rate of such procedures.
5. Treatment of radiation-induced complications: Plastic surgery patients who have undergone radiation therapy may experience complications such as delayed wound healing or tissue damage. Hyperbaric therapy has been shown to be effective in treating these radiation-induced complications by promoting tissue oxygenation and reducing inflammation.
It's important to note that hyperbaric therapy should be used as a complementary treatment alongside standard postoperative care. The specific details and recommendations for hyperbaric therapy will vary depending on the individual patient and the type of plastic surgery procedure performed.
RED LIGHT THERAPY EXPLAINED
Red light therapy and near-infrared light therapy, also known as low-level light therapy (LLLT) or photobiomodulation therapy, can be beneficial for people in recovery from plastic surgery. These therapies use specific wavelengths of light to stimulate cellular activity and promote healing. Here's how red light and near-infrared light can aid in the recovery process:
1. Increased collagen production: Red light and near-infrared light can penetrate the skin and stimulate fibroblasts, which are cells responsible for producing collagen. Collagen is a vital component for wound healing and tissue regeneration. By increasing collagen production, these therapies promote faster healing and help improve the appearance of scars after plastic surgery.
2. Reduced inflammation and pain: Plastic surgery procedures often cause inflammation and discomfort. Red light and near-infrared light have anti-inflammatory properties and can help reduce swelling and pain. They work by inhibiting the production of pro-inflammatory compounds and promoting the release of anti-inflammatory molecules. This can help patients feel more comfortable during the recovery process.
3. Improved circulation: Red light and near-infrared light therapy can enhance blood flow in the treated area. By increasing circulation, these therapies deliver more oxygen and nutrients to the recovering tissues, promoting faster healing and reducing the risk of complications. Improved circulation also aids in the removal of waste products and toxins from the area, further supporting the healing process.
4. Enhanced tissue repair: Red light and near-infrared light stimulate the production of adenosine triphosphate (ATP), which is the energy currency of cells. This increase in ATP production provides cells with the energy they need to carry out essential repair processes. It can help accelerate tissue repair and regeneration after plastic surgery procedures.
5. Reduction of scar tissue: Red light and near-infrared light therapy can help minimize the formation of excessive scar tissue, such as hypertrophic or keloid scars. These therapies promote a more organized collagen structure and modulate the activity of certain cells involved in scar formation. This can result in less visible and more aesthetically pleasing scars.
ENDERMOLOGIE EXPLAINED
Many women erroneously believe that liposuction eliminates cellulite along with the fat in targeted areas, but along with being a risky, invasive surgical procedure, liposuction can actually aggravate the appearance of cellulite.
While liposuction procedures remove deep, localized fat from whatever areas of the body a patient wants re-contoured, it does nothing to remove or alter the appearance of cellulite, which lays in the subcutaneous layer of fat close to the skin’s surface.
More and more plastic surgeons are finding that endermologie® treatments are an effective post-surgical method of optimizing their patients’ surgical results.
THE REALITY OF CELLULITE AND LIPOSUCTION
There are limits to the volume of fat that can safely be removed from the body. Even when the most exacting safety measures are followed, removing fat can result in loose skin. Even if additional surgery isn’t needed to remove excess skin, any resulting loose skin will cause cellulite to become far more visible.
Because endermologie is non-invasive and involves the use of specialized equipment using the unique Mécano-Stimulation™ technique, it helps reduce swollen tissue and the appearance of cellulite. These soothing treatments also help reduce lymphedema, speed up recovery time and can help bring a healthy glow to the skin, further enhancing the liposuction results.
HOW ENDERMOLOGIE® BENEFITS PATIENTS
Plastic surgeons and physicians often recommend endermologie treatments in conjunction with liposuction surgery in order to minimize post op pain and stiffness and improve fluids mobilization.
endermologie® treatments aid in speeding the resolution of edema, reducing variability of the early contours, and improving localized skin tone.*
Are the results permanent? If the factors causing the initial cellulite condition are not changed, the appearance of the skin will return to the state it was in before the endermologie treatments began and despite the liposuction surgery. Regular exercise, a balanced diet, good hydration and a continued program of maintenance treatments are recommended.
While every patient’s post-surgical needs are unique, endermologie treatments often begin several weeks following the surgical procedure. However, it may be months before endermologie treatments can begin in patients that had fat transferred to another area during the liposuction procedure.
